The student will conduct long-term laboratory incubation experiments to simulate the merging of the supra- and subglacial ecosystems at glacier margins during deglaciation and to study the development of the microbial community in this newly formed ecosystem based on metagenomics/transcriptomic data. The position is available for up to four years, starting in October 2016. The student’s net monthly income will start at CZK 16,500 (EUR 610) in the first year, and may progressively increase with experience and achievements during the study.
